Frequently Asked Questions

Is prior experience required to play football for Lincoln? 

No previous experience is needed to play football for Lincoln. In fact, 80% of last year's freshman class had no previous experience. All skill levels are welcome. 


Is football a cut sport? 

No. Lincoln football is a no-cut sport. 


Is Lincoln football only for boys? 

No. Our football team is open to anyone. 


Are there any fees associated with football? 

An ASB card must be purchased for $45. The Away Camp costs approx. $250. We offer scholarships for these items for athletes that need assistance. 


When are practices? 

Incoming freshmen are encouraged to participate in spring practice and attend camp. 

–Spring practices: typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturdays.

–Away Camp (4 days): after school breaks for the summer.

–Fall schedule: we will begin meeting August 17th and practices begin August 19th. We have either practice or games Monday

  through Saturday in the fall. 


What teams will you have for the 2020 season? 

We anticipate having a Varsity and a JVC team this incoming season. The JVC team will be comprised of primarily freshmen with possibly a few sophomores.  


 What type of competition will the JVC team play? 

Our JVC team will play similar teams that are comprised of mainly freshmen. 


Do I need a physical? 

Yes. You need a current Seattle Public Schools sports physical that can be obtained at primary care provider or Lincoln Teen Health Center (available to current students and incoming freshmen).


How do I register for football? 

Registration should be open March/April for all fall sports. Information will be sent out at a later date.
