Frequently Asked Questions

Is prior experience required to play football for Lincoln? 

No previous experience is needed to play football for Lincoln. In fact many of last years freshman class had no previous experience.

All skill levels are welcome. 

 

Is football a cut sport? 

No. Lincoln football is a no-cut sport. 

 

Is Lincoln football gender specific? 

No. Our football team is open to all. 

 

Are there any fees associated with football? 

An ASB card must be purchased for ~$45 (final price tbd). The only other cost is away camp which is around $400 (final cost tbd). We offer scholarships for athletes that need assistance. 

 

What is the spring & summer schedule? 

Incoming freshmen are encouraged to participate in spring practice and attend camp. We will offer other weight training opportunities as well. tbd. 

–Spring practices Dates: May 30-June 2nd (Evening Practice EP), June 5th -9th (EP), June 12th-16th (EP), Saturday June 17th (Morning Scrimmage), June 19-23 (EP), June 26-June 27th (EP), End of June-early July dates tbd (Away Camp), July 5-7th (Practice TBD), July 10-14 (Practice TBD), July 15-August 15 (No Practice), Aug 16-18 (5pm-8pm), Aug 19 (9am-12pm), Team Camp Aug 21-Aug 25th, Aug 26 9am-12pm, Aug 28-Aug 31 5pm-8pm, Friday 9/1 Varsity Game TBD location & time

What teams will you have for the 2023 season? 

We will have a minimum of 3 levels of play this incoming season. The JVC team will be comprised of primarily freshmen with possibly a few sophomores.  

 

What type of competition will the JVC team play? 

Our JVC team will play similar teams that are comprised of mainly freshmen. 

 

Do I need a physical? 

Yes. New players need a current Seattle Public Schools sports physical that can be obtained at a primary care provider or Lincoln Teen Health Center (available to current students, non Lincoln players, and incoming freshmen).

How do I register for football?
